About Our Dental Practice
Dr. Tullis evaluates patients holistically because the mouth is connected to the rest of the body. Every new patient exam includes a brief oral cancer screening and review of overall health. At the first appointment he will recommend treatment options to improve your oral health, function and smile so you can make an informed decision. Dr. Tullis will explain all your options based on your oral health goals and budget.
Our practice is devoted to preventing and managing gum disease (periodontal disease) and all diseases of the mouth. Periodontal disease is a progressive condition, often painless, and the leading cause of tooth loss. When teeth cannot be saved, we also specialize in tooth replacement with dental implants.
Our High Standards
We ask ourselves regularly, how would I like to be treated at my doctor's office? We treat patients according to the latest proven techniques and technology, including digital x-rays, 3D-CT imaging, the latest regenerative therapies, and the highest quality dental implants. Even though periodontics is a surgical specialty, we also try our best to stay on schedule to respect your time.
Education & Prevention
Preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. We are happy to teach patients how to maximize there oral health. We focus on thorough exams – checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer screening, and taking x-rays when necessary. Dr. Tullis also teaches other dentists so we can all keep improving our standard of care for our patients.
Infection control is important to us. We update our COVID-19 prevention protocols each time new recommendations are released. To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). All our staff are trained in Basic Life Support and Dr. Tullis is trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Training & Expertise
Dr. Tullis and our staff are committed to continual education and learning. We attend dental lectures, meetings, and dental conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment to provide state-of-the-art dental care. Dr. Tullis is a regular contributor to an international study club of over 45,000 dentists. He is also an active member of the following organizations:
- American Dental Association/Colorado Dental Association/Colorado Springs Dental Society
- American Academy of Periodontology
- International Society of Periodontal Plastic Surgeons

A Positive Experience
We want to build a foundation of trust and treat you like a family member or valued friend. There is plenty of dental treatment need in the community and no reason to market to people treatment they don't need. We understand some patients may feel anxiety about dental visits, and have successfully treated many patients just like you. We currently offer oral sedation (a pill) to help nervous patients relax. New patients are also often surprised at how easy local anesthesia can be. If there is an occasion where we do not meet and exceed your expectations, please let us know how we can make it right for you.
